UND Alumni Association & Foundation conducts a comprehensive program of alumni relations which includes a number of on- and off-campus events. The two major on-campus events are Alumni Days, which is traditionally held during the week preceding Memorial Day, and the annual October Homecoming.

The Energy & Environmental Research Center (EERC) is recognized as one of the world's leading developers of cleaner, more efficient energy and environmental technologies to protect and clean our air, water, and soil.

The EERC is a high-tech, nonprofit branch of the University of North Dakota (UND). The EERC operates like a business; conducts research, development, demonstration, and commercialization activities; and is dedicated to moving promising technologies out of the laboratory and into the commercial marketplace.

The UND Graduate School is responsible for all graduate programs at UND, including 48 master's programs, one specialist program, and 20 doctoral programs. Fields of study include the humanities, social sciences, physical and natural sciences, fine arts, business, education and human development, aerospace sciences, engineering, medical sciences, and nursing.

The University of North Dakota School of Engineering and Mines (SEM) offers a comprehensive education to students from throughout the upper Midwest and from around the world. Five departments offer undergraduate degrees in Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Geological, and Mechanical Engineering, all of which are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. Graduate degrees at the Master's level are also available and the Ph.D. in Energy Engineering is offered as a multidisciplinary degree program. UND-SEM takes great pride in its nationally-honored chapter of the Society of Women Engineers, as well as the Society for Energy Alternatives, a successful participant in the Sunrayce solar-powered vehicle competition. Many students take advantage of the co-operative education program to supplement textbook knowledge with real-world experience. Graduates of all programs find success at many of the top companies in America.

Laboratory Scientists are working behind the scenes in healthcare organizations to investigate clues left by disease and provide vital information that will direct patient care.

University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences - Occupational Therapy Program

Occupational therapy practitioners are skilled professionals whose education includes the study of human growth and development with specific emphasis on the social, emotional, and physiological effects of illness and injury. The occupational therapist enters the field with a bachelors, masters, or doctoral degree. The occupational therapy assistant generally earns an associate degree.

Practitioners must complete supervised clinical internships in a variety of health care settings, and pass a national examination. Most states also regulate occupational therapy practice.

The primary goal of the Women's Center is to coordinate efforts toward the removal of social, political, and economic barriers to women's full participation in society.

This is accomplished in part through education, involvement with various university and community committees, and participation in the development and implementation of institutional policies.
